Training and Education

The Department of Mental Health Law & Policy at the Louis de la Parte Florida Mental Health Institute offers a variety of educational and training opportunities to help meet the challenges of practice in today's changing field. Undergraduate and graduate level academic courses are taught through several USF departments and at the Stetson University College of Law. A series of community based training and workshops are also offered addressing skills and best practices for mental health and substance abuse service providers in a variety of venues. In addition, we offer a series of low-cost and free on-line training which offers continuing education credits for professionals via the Internet.
