Student Training Services
The Library staff offers instruction and training on individualized, group, or classroom basis. We can arrange for small group training in the library or provide an overview of resources specific to a particular subject area or discipline. Classes are offered on any of the USF Libraries electronic resources, specific Institute resources, using the print collections, using Pro-Cite, managing literature reviews electronically, and other topics based on requests. The Library offers a hourly instructional component on every Friday at 10am and again at 2 pm. To Request Training

Specialized Faculty Services
The Library is part of VITAL,the Virtual Instructional Team for the Advancement of Learning. As part of VITAL, the Institute offers specialized training to faculty in the use of electronic resources and applications. To Request Training

Library staff has built specialized presentation materials and websites for USF faculty. In addition to creating traditional support materials based upon planned coursework, library staff also prepare online and in-class tutorials specifically focused on an instructor's syllabus or on a requested resource or service. The library staff, for example, recommends the Texas Information Literacy Tutorial (TILT) for all classes to provide a base of knowledge about using online (and internet) resources.
