• There will be an extended closure of some sections of Banyan Street within the FMHI complex to facilitate connection of water mains for the new Children's Medical Services building from March 21, 2005 to June 28, 2005, requiring traffic to be re-routed within the FMHI complex. It is recommended that all persons having business in the FMHI complex use the Bruce B. Downs Boulevard and Fletcher Avenue entrances/exits to lot 38. While there will be two-way traffic at the Holly Drive entrance/exit, it will be the most heavily impacted by the closure and heavier than normal congestion is expected.

• USF Assistant Professor Dr. Jennifer Baggerly was one of 17, out of 80 applicants from across the nations, selected to provide Sri Lankan children play therapy techniques to increase their coping skills. Dr. Baggerly will present her story on March 24, from noon to 1:00 pm at the Florida Mental Health Institute.

• Distinguished Speaker Professor Robert Putnam of Harvard University and author or "Bowling Alone: The Collapse and Revival of American Community," is coming to the Tampa Convention Center, Thursday, March 31, 2005, 9-10:15 a.m. He will be presenting on his concept of "social capital," the idea that social connections lead to healthier lives and communities. He will show how social capital has diminished. How, as a nation, we are less connected, and why this should concern us. Then he will make recommendations for what we, as individuals and as a group, can do to change it.
