POST-DOCTORAL RESEARCH FELLOWSHIPS

The Department of Mental Health Law & Policy, Louis de la Parte Florida Mental Health Institute (FMHI), University of South Florida (USF) invites applications for three post-doctoral research fellowships.
Applicants for the 2-year fellowships, which provide research and academic training in a rich intellectual environment, must have a terminal degree (e.g., PhD, JD, DPH).
Applicants for the forensic psychology fellowship should have demonstrated research experience in any subspecialty of forensic psychology, broadly defined (e.g., assessment or treatment of persons involved in court, forensic or correctional settings; operation of the correctional, forensic, or juvenile justice systems; mental health law). Applicants for the fellowship in substance abuse and co-occurring disorders research should have experience and demonstrated research skills in the area of addictions, substance abuse, and/or co-occurring disorders, and an interest in public policy and services research. Applicants for the fellowship in mental health policy and services research should have a strong interest in policy analysis and/or services research, broadly defined (e.g., evaluation of treatment outcomes, impact of system-level policy initiatives such as managed care, cost-effectiveness/cost-benefit analysis). Demonstrated research experience as well as good conceptualization, quantitative or qualitative analytic, and communication skills are extremely important. Fellowships will start in the fall of 2003; the stipend is $23,000 to $33,000.
