THEME: MENTAL HEALTH: The State Of The Science

The third public meeting of the Commission was at the Ramada Inn Conference Center in Jacksonville, Florida. A special presentation was given on Sunday the 27th to the members of the Commission and the public by Dr. Howard Goldman, senior scientific editor of recently released Surgeon General's Report on Mental Health . To facilitate public access, the meeting was videotaped. These videotaped portions are being provided over the Internet to interested parties through the use of webcasts. Also available are links to the supporting documents given to the Commission by those persons giving invited or public testimony.

To view the webcasts, you will need to have a media plug-in, MediaPlayer, loaded on your computer. If you are coming in over a modem line, you need to use the link labeled 56 kb. If you do not have Microsoft MediaPlayer on your machine, you may download the plug-in from their site.

The Goldman and Kip presentations are readily available via Powerpoint using Internet Explorer. We are in the process of converting them for viewing via Netscape.
